This book covers the basics of astrology, along with how it has evolved over time into the Western and Chinese astrological beliefs prevalent today. Exploring the constellations, animals, planets, colours and characteristics associated with each. The goal of this book is to encourage readers to appreciate and embrace the diversity of humanity, just like the stars that twinkle above us every night. The title of the book was inspired by my childhood dog, Stella. Stella was named when we met her and we fell in love immediately. Her name is derived from the Latin word for “star,” which I find fitting as she was always a shining light for me on days when all I could feel was darkness. The name of this book, InterStella, connects her name with a common word used when discussing the stars, Interstellar, meaning occurring between stars. To my Stella, thank you for guiding me through my childhood and teenage life. May you prance upon the stars until we meet again...
