The app was created as a solution for the following problem statement. The Toronto animal shelter system is facing increasing pressures and stressors, compounded by the lack standards being upheld by volunteers, the rise of pandemic pets being surrendered, and lost pets, resulting in overcrowding. This situation presents a complex problem that needs addressing, as it negatively impacts the welfare of pets, their owners, and animal shelter staff. Swipe through a generated card stack of who you’ve recently crossed paths with while walking your pet (cat's can be walked too), and request to message them. Simplify community service by viewing a list of lost pets and where they were last seen within radius. Utilize the list to cater your pet walks towards directions
 of lost pets. Lastly, utilize automated lost pet matching for more efficient reporting and finding of lost pets. Artificial intelligence allow photos taken of stray animals to be matched with similar looking lost pets in 
the database. If the stray is a match, the system automates a notification to the potential owners to review.
