VELD Music Festival

VELD is an annual electronic dance music and hip-hop festival that occurs in Toronto. This event includes appearances and performances from many popular artists and occurs during July. A symbolic approach is used to establish a visual identity for the music festival and showcase the upbeat energy presented. The main Element featured are the constant lines that act as sound waves. This shows the movement that is felt at the festival from the sound waves, people dancing and the lights from the stage. The series (poster, E-tickets and program) include both in English and French available. The visual branding is centred around the bright colours seen at the music festival which takes place in the evening and night. This allows for the bright colours to stand out against the navy background. Since the main target audience is teens and young adults a playful approach was used with the colour pallet. The flashy colours match lights and glow sticks but also the colours are worn to stand out.
